Louis S. Test has been serving clients throughout Nevada for more than 50 years. He was admitted to the Nevada State Bar in 1974 and the California State Bar in 1975. A lifelong Nevadan, Mr. Test graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, and earned his Juris Doctor from the McGeorge School of Law.
Mr. Test served as Reno City Attorney from 1979 to 1983. Following his tenure with the City of Reno, he joined the law firm that evolved into Bowen, Swafford, Hoffman & Test and now practices with Kearney, Puzey & Damonte, Ltd.
Drawing on decades of legal experience, Mr. Test advises clients in a broad range of areas, including business law, real estate, land use, special use permits, estate planning, trust administration, and probate. His practical approach and extensive knowledge have made him a trusted advisor to individuals, families, and businesses across Northern Nevada.
Throughout his career, Mr. Test has remained deeply committed to civic and community service. His leadership roles have included serving as Chair of Shriners Hospitals for Children Northern California, President of the Nevada Agricultural Foundation, President of the University of Nevada Alumni Association, and a board member of the Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority (REMSA). He and his family have also been longtime leaders and supporters of the Nevada 4-H community.
In addition to his legal and community service, Mr. Test served as a Medical Service Officer in the United States Army Reserve from 1975 to 1983. He is also a 33rd Degree Mason, an honor recognizing distinguished service, leadership, and professional achievement.
Mr. Test and his wife, Joni, have been married for more than 50 years and are longtime Northern Nevada residents. Together, they have two adult children and two grandchildren.
