Adam Pernsteiner is a seasoned corporate attorney who advises clients across the full life cycle of a business, from negotiation and formation through dispute resolution and appellate review. His practice focuses on complex contract and business matters, professional liability defense, and appellate advocacy.
Adam represents a broad range of clients in commercial litigation, business transactions, and contract matters. He serves as ongoing outside counsel to several large corporate clients, including nationally recognized gaming and professional enterprises. In this role, he provides strategic guidance on issues such as vendor and service agreements, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, risk assessment, data privacy, employment matters, and cross-border legal considerations.
In the professional liability arena, Adam regularly represents attorneys, insurance agents, real estate brokers, and other licensed professionals in malpractice litigation and related regulatory matters. He has substantial experience defending professionals before public and quasi-public regulatory bodies, including disciplinary panels and licensing authorities.
Prior to entering private practice, Adam served as a judicial clerk to the Chief Justice of the Nevada Supreme Court, where he worked extensively on civil and criminal appellate matters. That experience continues to inform his analytical approach and appellate practice.
In 2022, Adam was appointed to the Southern Nevada Disciplinary Board, which conducts screenings and evidentiary hearings on allegations of professional misconduct. Depending on the proceeding, panel members serve in a quasi-judicial role, evaluating evidence and testimony in matters brought by the Office of Bar Counsel.
Adam earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, magna cum laude, from the University of San Diego, and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from The University of Toledo College of Law. He also completed his Ph.D. ABD in Public Law and Theory at the University of South Carolina, while serving as a Visiting Professor of Constitutional Law and Graduate Professor of Public Law and Theory.
